Letter carriers to collect food door-to-door Saturday

The 21st National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is being held Saturday, May 10, in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service, Campbell Soup, Feeding America and other partners.

In 2013, 74 million pounds of food was collected by postal carriers nationally. The program aims to restock pantries entering the summer low on supplies at a time when many school breakfast and lunch programs are not available to children in need.

Just leave a non-perishable food donation in a bag by the mailbox and the postal carrier will do the rest.
