Hersey second in Shootout

Andrew took top honors in the Huskie-Gren Shootout on Saturday, topping tournament co-host Hersey 9-7 in the championship game at Elk Grove.

Andrew Gacek led Andrew with 4 goals in the title game, and Jack Carroll paced Hersey with 5.

Maine East edged Elk Grove 12-10 in the fifth-place game.

In pool play, Hoffman Estates edged Elk Grove 12-11.

Hersey topped Maine East 10-6 as Carroll led with way with 6 goals for the Huskies. Carroll again had 6 goals in Hersey's 13-9 win against Maine South.
