No decision on charges in Barrington 'sexting' case

Barrington police said Friday that their ongoing investigation of "sexting" among some Barrington middle school students is at too early a stage to determine whether criminal charges will be pursued. Detectives are working with Barrington Unit District 220, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and the Children's Advocacy Center in Cook County. The latter agency is assisting due to the facts of the case and the ages of the individuals involved. Parents are being urged to use this incident as an opportunity to discuss appropriate technology use with their teens.
