Tree, bench donation program:

Vernon Hills residents can honor a special person or commemorate a birthday or anniversary by donating a tree or bench in a park. Trees are sold at cost, with prices ranging from $225 to $475. Trees can be personalized with a bronze plaque, which is also sold at cost, with prices starting at $70. Bench donations also are available from the Vernon Hills Park District and can be purchased for $700 and personalized with a plaque.
