Autopsy expected on body found in state park

KANKAKEE, Ill. - An autopsy is expected to be performed on the remains of a 40-year-old man whose body was found in a northern Illinois state park.

The (Kankakee) Daily Journal reports the body of Herscher resident Joel Brueggert was found Monday afternoon in Kankakee River State Park.

Authorities say his body was found near a creek by the park's main entrance.

Authorities haven't yet said how Brueggert died but say he had no visible injuries.
