Don't be fooled by campaign fliers

The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin, saying "it is an abomination." Today's views make God-fearing people to be politically incorrect if they do not support same-sex marriage.

On last Tuesday's primary, conservative pro-traditional marriage candidates Bob Bednar and Keith Matune were defeated by state Reps. Ed Sullivan Jr. and Ron Sandack, who were two of the people who voted for same-sex marriage in Illinois.

I question why voters who profess to be God-fearing citizens would vote for candidates who do not share their spiritual and moral beliefs.

During the primary season, voters' mailboxes were besieged by fliers documenting the candidates' beliefs and stands on issues. But do voters realize who pays for these fliers? The bottom of the flyer states who paid for the flyer.

Voters should investigate the money trail. They might be surprised how many pro same-sex marriage PACs paid for the Ed Sullivan Jr. and Ron Sandack fliers.

Before voting in November, check out these PACs, and don't be swayed by the glossy fliers. Appearances can be deceiving.
