Night life events: Rack House celebrates Cubs home opener

Play ball!

It's finally here. Celebrate the Chicago Cubs home opener Friday, April 4, at Rack House in Arlington Heights with Wrigley classic $2.50 Old Style cans, $4 Fireball shots and $1 off select craft beers. A complimentary happy hour buffet is open from 4 to 6 p.m.

Woodstock pub crawl

Celebrate the life of one-time Woodstock resident Orson Welles with a pub-crawl. Now through May 17, get your card punched at each of the 13 participating establishments by trying depression and prohibition-era cocktails. Participating establishments include: Armanetti's, DC Cobbs, The Cabin, Ethereal Confections, La Petite Creperie, Liquid Blues, Main Street Pour House, Mixteca, Off the Rails, Offsides Sports Bar and Grill, Ortmann's Red Iron Tavern, Woodstock Public House and Woodstock Town Tap.

New Dave & Buster's

Likened to Chuck E. Cheese for adults, a new gaming, food and drink paradise has opened in Westfield Hawthorn with the recent addition of Dave & Buster's. Catch a sporting event over cocktails with friends, try out new games Mario Kart or Temple Run, or eat anything from bistro steak and shrimp with lobster Alfredo to classic pretzel dogs. Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
