Chefs event to benefit Geneva groups

Sixty local celebrity chefs will demonstrate their cooking skills when the Geneva Chamber of Commerce presents the sixth annual "60 Men Who Cook."

The event will benefit the Geneva History Center, Geneva Lions Club and Rotary Club of Geneva. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Attendees will sample hors d'oeuvres, main dishes, side dishes and desserts made by people they know in the community and then vote for their favorite to take home the "Peoples' Choice Award" in each of the four categories.

Items for your sampling pleasure range from Thai mango squash soup, pulled pork and cashew encrusted tilapia to handmade mini pizzas and montage southwest salad. Don't forget to leave room for dessert. Food choices for everyone are available that evening.

Tickets are $35, if bought before the event, and include food tastings and four chef votes.

The evening also will include a cash bar and raffle.

Tickets available at Geneva Chamber office, 8 S. Third St. and Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St. View last year's fun at youtu.be/Uqt8TCJxNnA.
