Disassociating self from Hitler analogy

Because in the past I have written letters to the Daily Herald, I feel it necessary to point out to my friends and associates that I am not the Mike O'Brien (of Prospect Heights) whose Feb. 22 letter compared President Obama to Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin.

Although I disagree with the president on several key issues, I would never be so foolish as to slander a sitting U.S. president in my local newspaper. I do not wish to be mired down in the muck with those whose anger and hatred is rooted in blind obedience to political party doctrine, whether they be Republicans or Democrats.
