Palatine powers past Fremd

Omar El Hoffi scored a game-high 7 goals and Wally Kleinfeldt had 5 to help Palatine past 17-8 in Mid-Suburban West boys water polo action on Wednesday.

Kristiyan Kalev came up with 3 goals for Palatine, and goalie Colin White stopped 9 shots and came up with 3 steals.

Luke Stark paced Fremd's attack with 4 goals.

• James Birriel led the way with 6 goals to help host Schaumburg past Hoffman Estates 12-2.

• Barrington rolled past defending MSL West champ Conant 12-5.

Barrington, Palatine and Schaumburg are each 2-0 in West play.

• George Vladimirov scored 5 goals to help Hersey power past visiting Rolling Meadows 15-5.
