East Dundee St. Patrick's Day parade a delight for all
River Street in East Dundee was awash with a sea of green Saturday as the mild weather and Irish music accompanied the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.
Green hair, hats, sunglasses, shoes, tights and even a fully grown man in a green dress were the norm as they combined to kick off the festivities.
Almost 70 entries in the celebration stepped off at 11 a.m. at Rosie O'Hare's Pub in East Dundee and wound through and down to Bandito Barney's on Jackson Street where the parade ended some two hours later.
"It's awesome, rain or snow" quipped JoAn Valdez of Carpentersville, who had donned a large green hat and sunglasses for the parade.
Cub Scout Pack 34 Den 4 make their way down the route during the East Dundee St. Patrick's Day Parade Saturday.
