Public hearing on Meijer plan:
A public hearing on the proposed redevelopment of a shopping center at Rollins Road opposite Hainesville Road is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday before the Round Lake Beach planning and zoning commission. GreenbergFarrow, as agent for Meijer Stores Limited Partnership, is seeking a special use to allow for the redevelopment of more than 20 acres of commercial property. The commercial portion includes a proposed 192,000-square-foot retail store, fuel center, outdoor garden center and other features. The meeting is at the village hall chambers, 1937 N. Municipal Way, off Hook Drive north of Rollins and west of Route 83.
