Ukraine should split peacefully
Ukraine, the land of 46 million people, is broke - economically and emotionally. Unfortunately, with no financial and economic strength, Ukraine is torn between east and west. When the majority of ethnic Russians living in the autonomous state of Crimea and their local prime minister Sergei Aksenov want Russian forces to come and protect them, then it is time for Ukraine to let Crimea go. Crimea needs to be separated so it can join the Russian federation peacefully before the whole Ukraine burns with ethnic strife between Russians and non-Russians.
Ukraine was never an independent country until the fall of the Berlin Wall. Western Ukraine was part of Astro-Hungarian empire, and eastern Ukraine was with Russia.
The world doesn't want to see what happened in Bosnia-Herzegovina. We don't need another hot spot like Syria. It is time that Ukraine follow the peaceful separation that came about when a country called Czechoslovakia separated between Czech Republic and Slovakia peacefully.
