Kerry choosing science he wants to believe

Secretary of State John Kerry's vitriolic statements on climate change do a huge disservice to the many scientists worldwide who study this subject. In addition, Kerry's statements and those of his elite statists (e.g. Al Gore, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton) do significant harm to the public for falsely alarming them about completely unproven dangers arising from man-made carbon emissions.

It is obvious that neither Kerry nor his cohorts have read, nor will read, such authoritative research studies as "Climate Change Reconsidered II: Physical Science" published in late 2013 by scientists from around the world who belong to the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) and sponsored by the Heartland Institute. This study is just under 1,000 pages long and is available free online. On Page vii it states "NIPCC's conclusion, drawn from its extensive review of the scientific evidence, is that the greenhouse gas-induced global climate signal is so small as to be embedded within the background variability of the natural climate system and is not dangerous." In other words, the human input into climate change is too small to matter even if we could afford to change it completely.

Kerry's statement that "the science is unequivocal, and those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand" is an insult to the scientists that produced the NIPCC report and the rest of us. Kerry and his cohorts want to say that the "science is settled" so as to silence the very honest and real debate that they should be having.

Nowhere have I nor the NIPCC found any creditable effort to debunk what is contained in the NIPCC report. Citizens of the world should beware of the obvious political motivations of people like John Kerry.
