Summer Jobs for Lake County Youth

Friday is the deadline to apply to the Lake County Board's Summer Youth Employment Program, which offers youths aged 14 to 18 (or 14-22 with an Individualized education plan) the opportunity for a paid, part-time work experience over the summer. Youth are matched with local public or nonprofit worksites. Applications are available at www.lakecountyjobcenter.com. or at the Lake County Job Center, 1 N. Genesee St. Waukegan. Jobapalooza, Lake County's largest job and resource fair for youth ages 16 to 21, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at the College of Lake County, Grayslake Campus, where nearly 30 employers will be recruiting for full-time, part-time and seasonal work, Call (847) 543-2059.
