Palatine High Boosters present 30th dinner and auction

The Palatine High School Pirate Booster Club presents "Celebrate the Pirate Spirit," the group's 30th annual dinner and auction fundraising event from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, March 7, at The Cotillion Banquets, 360 S. Creekside Ave., Palatine.

The event includes hors d'oeuvres, dinner, cash bar, dinner, DJ, raffles, live entertainment, a silent auction and a live auction. Tickets are available at www.phspirateboosters.com for $55 each. The reservation deadline is Monday, March 3.

The dinner and auction is open to all. Dress is casual; attendees are encouraged to either get their "groove on" and dress in the retro-wear of their favorite decade - the '80s, '90s, or 2000s, or come dressed in their favorite Palatine Pirate spirit wear.

Through the generosity of booster members and community supporters, the auction items available at this year's event provide something for everyone. Entertainment prizes include a suite of 10 tickets to see Cher at Allstate Arena Saturday, June 7; VIP seats with a meet and greet with Dennis DeYoung of Styx March 15; VIP seats with a meet and greet with BB King, the King of the Blues, May 31; and tickets to see comedian Ron White April 11.

Autographed items from STYX, Martina McBride, Bill Cosby, and the Zac Brown Band are also included in the mix.

For the sports lover, golf packages, a Chicago Wolves package, and a variety of tickets to major league sporting events will be available for bid as well. The popular Boozter Wagon will be making its return this year for those who literally want to win a wagon of beverages, and a huge variety of gift certificates and items from local businesses will be included as auction and raffle items.

The annual dinner and auction is the main fundraising event for the Palatine High School Pirate Boosters, providing funds for scholarships and programs that benefit all students at Palatine High School.
