Harvest Christian wins regional opener

Harvest Christian 70, Lombard College Prep 44: John Vislisel poured in a double-double of 33 points and 13 rebounds to help the No. 2 Lions (15-13) advance to tonight's Class 1A Harvest Christian regional semifinal against No. 3 Islamic Foundation at 8 p.m. Austin White added 15 points and Noah Fox chipped in 10 for the Lions.

Islamic Foundation 65, Elgin Academy 54: In another Class 1A Harvest Christian regional game, behind 35 points from Hassan Shuipaj, the No. 3 Chargers eliminated the sixth-seeded Hilltoppers (2-17) from postseason action. Dietrich Robinson also put up 35 points in a losing cause for Elgin Academy.
