CCU hosts free '7 Keys to Optimizing Social Security Benefits' seminar

Consumer Credit Union, in cooperation with Allianz Life Financial Services LLC, is hosting a free educational workshop titled "7 Keys to Optimizing Social Security Benefits." The workshop, headed by John Hennessy, CRPC, regional vice president of Allianz Life Financial Services, will outline the steps necessary to help achieve the income level one needs in retirement.

"7 Keys to Optimizing Social Security Benefits" is a no-cost workshop open to both the public and credit union members. The seminar is presented by Consumers Credit Union and Consumers Financial & Investment Services, in cooperation with Allianz life Financial Services LLC and the Consumers Cooperative Association, the credit union's sponsor.

Attendees will learn practical and easy-to-understand answers to questions about Social Security basics, including Medicare eligibility - Parts A, B, C and D; income benefits in addition to noting when those benefits are taxable and when they are not; when to start taking your benefits while touching on both spouse and survivor benefits; and working in retirement.
