Historical society debut event Sunday

The Round Lake Area Historical Society hosts its debut event from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, the Round Lake Area Library, 906 Hart Road, Round Lake. An actor portraying Hainesville founder Elijah M. Haines will welcome visitors. The free public program includes a discussion of the early years and settlers of the Round Lake area between 1847 when Hainesville, the county's oldest village was incorporated, to about 1920.
