Harper's Hinderer nets NJCAA weekly honor

Harper College center Monica Hinderer has been named Region IV, Division III women's basketball player of the week in the NJCAA.

In Harper's two games last week, the 6-foot sophomore averaged 29.0 points while shooting 54.8 percent (23-for-42) from the field to go with 14.5 rebounds per game.

In 24 games this season, the Hawks post standout ranks 13th nationally in points per game (21.6), and her 14.4 rebounds per game is fourth-best in the nation.
