Wheaton parks facilities available to rent

Wheaton Park District parks can provide a setting to host birthday parties, baby showers, church programs and other events, and are available for rentals through 2014.

The park district offers 24 parks and other venues open dawn until dusk, providing options for both indoor and outdoor events.

Options for park rental permits range from Level I to Level III. Level I includes options like Hurley Gardens (west of the Adare Drive and Creekside Drive intersection) and Memorial Park (208 W. Union). Permits for Level I are $100 for residents and $200 for others.

Level II includes park options like Atten Park, Seven Gables Park and Northside, the largest of the Wheaton Parks at 68 acres. These Level II parks include restrooms, shelter and open spaces. Prices for Level II are $60 for residents and $120 for others. Level III parks include Briar Knoll and Hillside Parks, which offer a wide variety of amenities. Prices for Level III are $40 for residents and $80 for others.

In addition, several indoor options are available for rental such as the Leisure Center, the upper-level ballroom at DuPage County Historical Museum, and the Taylor Barn at Cosley Zoo.

The Community Center, located in south Wheaton, features nine multipurpose rooms available for rental, with capacity ranging from 50 to 375 people. Presentation equipment rental is also available.
