Try Hockey For Free event in Hoffman Estates

On Saturday, March 1, from 1-2:30 p.m., boys and girls, ages 4-9, are invited to give hockey a shot at USA Hockey's annual Try Hockey For Free event at the Triphahn Ice Arena, 1685 W. Higgins Road, in Hoffman Estates.

Equipment is provided for the kids to use, and coaches will be available to help kids learn about hockey through activities and games.

The event is free, but registration is required at www.tryhockeyforfree.com.

Hockey players at the Hoffman Estates Park District have the opportunity to progress through a series of development programs, 3-on-3 mini leagues and finally graduate to the Wolf Pack Hockey Club of travel teams.
