Get your utility expenses analyzed in Des Plaines

Des Plaines and the Citizens Utility Board, a nonprofit consumer group, will sponsor a free community meeting at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood Street at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, to answer questions about your utility expenses.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their gas, electric, and telephone bills for a free one-on-one analysis by CUB professionals. Attendees will learn how to spot billing errors and avoid common pitfalls and scams.

Representatives from CEDA, Des Plaines Health and Human Services, Maine Township, Open Communities, and the Center of Concern, will be available to discuss their programs and services.

The event is free. However; attendees must register for the meeting by calling Des Plaines Health and Human Services office at (847) 391-5480.
