Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is that?For nearly 15 years, I have been practicing law full time representing individuals and businesses in civil litigation. I have tried cases to verdict before jury, bench (judge), and various administrative tribunals. In addition, I have participated in numerous arbitrations and mediations. My practice areas are defined into 3 main categories: personal injury (plaintiff and defense); family/matrimonial law; and various business/commercial disputes (contract, employment, real estate, injunction, collection, copyright/trademark, etc.).I did not have a lifelong dream of becoming a judge. As a trial lawyer, I began to think a couple of years ago that I would like to become a judge. I think becoming a judge would be the next step in my legal career. I believe that my education, training, legal and life experiences have prepared me well to seek the position of judge. In addition, I believe that I have qualities that a judge should have which are strong work ethic, common sense, fairness, impartiality, and integrity.What differentiates you most from your opponents in the race?I believe that our judiciary should reflect the members of our community. Although we have a significant Korean-American population in Cook County as well as many Korean-American attorneys in Cook County, we have not one single Korean-American judge in Cook County. In fact, there are no Korean-American judges in the entire State of Illinois.
