If yes, please explain: NoQuestions Answers Why are you running for this office? Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is that?America is on the wrong track. We are spending $1.35 for every $ we are bringing in, racking $17 trillion in debt (and growing.) Obama care has ceded one-sixth of the American economy to the federal government. It's time we had a common-sense, fiscal-conservative representing us in Congress. What differentiates you most from your opponents in the race?As a first-generation American, I know firsthand the value of hard work, the success of an entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to family. I can broaden the base of the Republican Party significantly by reaching new voters helping to ensure that our district has a true fiscally-conservative Representative.Do you support moving ahead with the Affordable Care Act? Why or why not? Which parts of the law, if any, would you change?I believe ACA is breaking our country's budget by subsidizing far too many. It is harming our economy and costing American jobs. It is raising premiums for patients, risking the quality of their health care and limiting the options for patients and doctors alike. The Republican plan ( www.rsc.scalise.house.gov/solutions/) should be adopted. The mandates for individuals and businesses are unworkable, un-affordable and un-American. I oppose this one-size-fits-all approach. I would work hard to repeal it and replace it with a system that does not raise taxes, that increases freedom and personal choices, and that expands options for patients. What specifically would you do to end gridlock and partisan infighting in the U.S. House and promote cooperative problem-solving?My background and life experience give me unique insights into the necessity for cooperation while standing on personal principles. We need "No Budget-No Pay" and a Balanced Budget Amendment. The best way to achieve these goals is to reach out directly to the American voters and enlist them in our efforts to bring common-sense to Washington, D.C.What should the U.S. House do, and what specifically will you do, to avoid another government shutdown?Congress and the President are simply incapable of acting like responsible citizens by their refusal to approach our nation's budget like American family's are required to approach their own budget. We need to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment. Only in Washington you call Government Discipline as Government Shut-down. Common sense requires Household Discipline as well as Government Discipline.Do you favor measures included in Senate Bill 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013? Specifically, which segments do you support, if any, and which segments do you oppose, if any? Are there other proposals related to immigration that you support or oppose?Any plan must first secure our borders to stop the inflow of those breaking our laws. We must enforce current laws that are in place, develop a workable guest-worker program that encourages the best brains to remain in and enrich our nation and oppose attempts at amnesty. On what issues would you break with your party, or have you broken with your party, and why?Being a Fiscally conservative person any time that my party would vote for increasing taxes and spending, expanding regulations, more involvement of federal government in daily lives of people, I am not for itShould federal spending cuts known as the sequester be continued in their current form? Why or why not? Where specifically would you cut the federal budget, if any? What areas, if any, would you exempt from cuts?Absolutely Yes. We all know that there is out of control spending which needs to be stopped NOW not in ten years from now. We cannot kick the can down the road. We must shoulder our own responsibilities.Being a Process Improvement person I do believe that we can improve efficiency and reduce costs in all areas. How would you vote on cutting Social Security and/or Medicare? We need to raise the age limit for Social Security for those who are under 50, unless we come up with a solution that raises our revenue to compensate the barriers. When Social Security came into place, people lived much shorter lives. We need to take a common sense approach to this issue. For those in the system and near retirement age we must fulfill our commitments. For Medicare, we need Process Improvement just like private companies do and which is my specialty. Finally, is there anything we haven't asked about that you feel we should know?I would like to take fight on issues that concerns our nation and not be engaged in a smear campaign and racist attacks I am facing. I am here to expand our party's base and make this state a Republican state once again. Unfortunately my opponent now wants to make this into a racial campaign. Over 90% of Indian American petitioners for my candidacy have been challenged as fraud. Sad very sad Indeed.
