The U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America's Concert Band is a group of 45 enlisted professional musicians who musically represent the professionalism and excellence found every day throughout the United States Air Force.

Their musical style is quite varied. At one of their concerts, you are just as likely to hear the music of contemporary composers as you would the familiar sounds of John Philip Sousa or Major Glenn Miller.

The band also features professional vocal soloists, performing a variety of popular, classical, and patriotic selections.

The Concert Band is often called upon to provide musical support to visiting dignitaries and has had the distinction of performing for Pope John Paul II; Presidents George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter; the Queen of the Netherlands; and hundreds of other U.S. and foreign leaders.

No tickets are needed. For more information, call (847) 931-5900 or go to www.hemmens.org. Parking is free.
