Learn about 'Wildflowers in the Winter' at Senior Stroll program

While it's cold outside, area seniors are invited inside the Barbara Belding Lodge at Brewster Creek Forest Preserve in St. Charles to learn about "Wildflowers in the Winter," as part of the monthly "Senior Stroll" program series.

Seniors meet at 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month for a leisurely stroll around a Kane County forest preserve. During cold-weather months, "Senior Stroll" moves indoors for special nature programs.

In the depth of winter, it's nice to think about flowers. From 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, Nature Programs Manager Valerie Blaine will present, photos and stories of beautiful native flora.

Registration is not required for this free program. All seniors are welcome to join us for festivities, fellowship and more.

The Barbara Belding Lodge is located in Brewster Creek Forest Preserve, 6N921 Route 25, St. Charles.
