Batavia Park District presents free concert series
The Batavia Park District's River Rhapsody Concert Series kicks off at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Batavia Riverwalk on North Island Avenue. The free concerts, presented by the Batavia Rotary Club, will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, except July 6, through Aug. 3.
On Wednesday, June 15, Mason Rivers, a high-energy country band, covers the best of today's country music as well as your favorite classics.
On Wednesday, June 22, Soda performs one of the most diverse playlists you'll find anywhere, from Johnny Cash and Dave Matthews to Styx and John Mayer.
On Wednesday, June 29, the Rockin' Fenderskirts invite you to put on your blue suede shoes and rock around the clock to your favorite rock 'n roll oldies.
On Wednesday, July 13, Johnny Russler & the Beach Bum Band, a band that combines the tropical sounds of Caribbean rock, reggae and calypso, offers original music along with songs by Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley, Paul Simon, Zac Brown Band and more.
On Wednesday, July 20, Piano Man Mike Sigman brings the music of Elton John and Billy Joel to life in the show that pays them the ultimate tribute.
On Wednesday, July 27, Wild Daisy, a female-fronted country band, plays current, upbeat country with a few pop/rock songs thrown in.
On Wednesday, Aug. 3, Red Woody performs songs from every decade. Some of the artists covered are Journey, Matchbox 20, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Mellencamp, Poison, Skynard, and more.
