Faith Christian alumni part of quintet visiting school

A small room at Faith Christian Academy in Geneva was temporarily transformed Thursday into a classical music concert stage.

Alumni Joel and Jeremy Klenke, who perform with the U.S. Army Field Band, returned to the school as part of a quintet to put on a small concert, provide some one-on-one instruction and answer questions. The band, which is often referred to as the musical ambassadors of the Army, performs all over the world.

Between musical pieces, the Klenkes, whose parents live in Aurora, fielded questions about music, life in the Army and SEAL Team 6.

When asked whether the clarinet quintet were soldiers or musicians, Jeremy said: “We are both soldiers and musicians.”
