Buffalo Grove Orchesis presents ‘Momenta: A Dancer’s Game’ Feb. 6-8

Buffalo Grove High School Orchesis presents its 2014 show Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 6-8, titled “Momenta: A Dancer’s Game.”

To explain the title of the show, director Michelle Carrison says, “The dancers will guide the audience on a journey by dancing through their very own board game.”

Under the direction of Carrison and assistant Jamie Kapsimalis, Orchesis will perform a variety of dance styles, such as ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, jazz, modern and tap. The skilled dancers have worked very hard throughout the year in both performances and rehearsals, simultaneously achieving artistry and athleticism in their work.

“Momenta: A Dancer’s Game” will take place in the school’s Miller Theater. The curtain time is 7 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Contact the director at (847) 718-4353 for more information.
