Citizens police academy:

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the semiannual Citizens Police Academy scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays from April 3 to June 5. Locations vary but include Libertyville, Waukegan and Russell. The course is free to Lake County residents. Participants must be 21 years of age or older, of good moral character and have no felony convictions. Applications are available at 25 S.
