Lake Villa Library Preparing for Annual "A Night at the Library" February 21!

The 3nd Annual A Night at the Library is a fun, after hours event---the ideal cure for the winter blahs. “It's become a great community night out,” said LVDL Executive Director Andy Lentine. “People enjoy experiencing the library in an unconventional way while visiting with the friends and neighbors they've missed due to the winter weather.”

Antioch Fine Wine & Liquors handles the wine and beer tastings and many area eateries have donated appetizers and snacks. The talented LCHS Jazz Band will be on hand playing two sets of music and there are beautiful items in the silent auction. Admission is $5, and you must be 21 and over to attend.

The event is sponsored by the Lake Villa District Library Foundation, a 501c3 organization that raises funds for items and resources beyond the library's operating budget. Proceeds from this year's event will go toward a motorized cart to make navigating the library easier.

Donations for the auction are being accepted, and event sponsorships are also available. Contact Paul Kaplan at 847-356-7711 x230 for details.

The LVDL Foundation not only makes things happen, it makes things fun.

Lake Villa District Library is located at 1001 E. Grand Avenue in Lake Villa. Call 847-356-7711 for more information.
