Geneva Varsity Dance Team takes IHSA Sectional Champion title

The Geneva Varsity Dance Team became IHSA sectional title champions this weekend at Stagg High School. Their first place win advances them to the state finals Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum, Bloomington, Ill.

Coach Amy VanWagenen says of her team, "The girls have accomplished the goal we set for ourselves over the summer: ‘Make it to State!' Now that we're going in one of the first place spots, we're ready to work hard this week to show everyone what Geneva Dance Team is really made of. This season has been outstanding and I'm so excited we get to keep it going one more week!"
