Super Bowling party raises money for Little Angels

Now that we know the Bears are not going to the Super Bowl, it is time to plan where we will be on game day.

The Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Lions invite the public to come watch the game at their “SUPERBowling Party,” at 4 p.m. Feb. 2, at Arlington Lanes, 3435 N. Kennicott Ave., Arlington Heights.

This will be their fifth annual “SUPERBowling Party” to raise funds for Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care (www.littleangels.org), a loving home for children and young adults from around the Chicago suburbs who have severe disabilities and complex medical needs. It is a state-of-the-art facility offering round-the-clock skilled nursing and therapies in a warm, caring environment.

The $15 advance ticket price for adults or $10 for children under 13 includes unlimited bowling and a halftime buffet.

“If you love watching the big game while enjoying good food and drink with family and friends, this is the place to be. So get off the couch and get in some strikes between the touchdowns — you’ll be having fun while helping people with special needs in the process,” said Debbie Nelson of Arlington Heights, a Little Friends supporter who will attend with her family.

Not a football fan? Join the party for the buffet and bid on the silent auction prizes, from restaurant certificates and spa packages to sports memorabilia and trips, including four Disney One-Day Park Hopper Passes, Chicago Auto Show tickets, a three-night stay in the Tower Guest Room at the AAA Four Diamond rated Atlantis Casino Resort & Spa in Reno, Nev.

Be an angel — bring friends and family or gather up co-workers to form a team. All ages are welcome. To order tickets and for more information, go to www.shlions.org or call Lion Vivian Leabhart at (224) 402-2153.
