American Legion presents award to employers

American Legion Vice National Commander Robert Newman of Indiana presented the Department of Defense Patriot Award to representatives of AT&T and Walgreens on his visit to the American Legion Post 964 in Lake Zurich on Sunday, Jan. 12.

Receiving the award for Walgreens was John McKenna who was nominated by Army Reservist Kevin Guyot of Deerfield, Navy Reservist Toni Roberti of Lake Zurich nominated Altrina Grant, his manager at AT&T. The award is given to employers who have provided continuous support to the reservist and his family while deployed away from home.
