Girl Scout rally Saturday kicks off cookie season

The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana and the Chicago Wolves will host the fifth annual Girl Scout Cookie Kickoff event beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Allstate Arena, 6920 N Mannheim Road in Rosemont.

All Girl Scouts and their families are invited to the kickoff, which will help Girl Scouts prepare for their 2014 cookie sales, and remain for the 7 p.m. Wolves game afterward.

The event begins at 2 p.m. with a rally featuring ideas on how to sell cookies, activity booths, tips from some of last year’s top sellers, ice skating and more. An entertainment program will follow at 5 p.m.

The cost is $17 per person and includes entrance to the Cookie Kickoff Rally, a T-shirt, a ticket for the Chicago Wolves game and a rally patch and pom-pom for registered Girl Scouts.
