D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge spreads Christmas cheer

D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge spread Christmas cheer this holiday season at the Illinois Masonic Children’s Home thanks to a spaghetti dinner that raised enough funds to provide the children with gifts.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, the Masonic Brothers, with Santa and his elves, visited the Children’s Home in LaGrange to deliver 24 gifts to the children who live there.

This was all made possible through a spaghetti dinner fundraiser put on by D.C. Cregier Lodge. The community gathered for the spaghetti dinner and made sizable donations in support of the lodge’s efforts. Other major donors include Richie Shep, who donated his time and talent by performing Christmas classics and some Rat Pack favorites.

Fundraisers like this help support the activities of the Wheeling-based lodge and allow them to provide philanthropically to the Children’s Home throughout the year.

The Illinois Masonic Children’s Home in LaGrange provides a positive, safe living environment for the children served. In order to do this, the Masonic Home developed a behavior management program which focuses on providing structure, routine and consistency to meet the needs of the residents. In addition, children attend church and Sunday school, regularly scheduled home visits, summer trips and community based activities.

The Illinois Masonic Children’s Home is always in need of school supplies, sheets, towels, and household items. To support the Illinois Masonic Children’s Home contact Jill Morrison at (708) 352-4240.
