It wasn’t just weather than killed peacock

The incident reported in the Jan. 9 article regarding the peacock that escaped into the cold and later died of its injuries is referred to by park district director Tom Mammoser as “ ... the harsh realities of what this kind of weather can do.” No, sir, this incident reflects the harsh realities of what can occur when an animal is taken out of its natural habitat.
