Prospect Heights woman charged in hit-and-run

A 27-year-old Prospect Heights woman is facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred Friday night in Des Plaines, authorities said.

Karolina Maculewicz was charged this weekend with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident — both felonies, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

Bail was set at $50,000 on Sunday. She is due in court Tuesday morning.
