Early farming lecture in Grayslake:

Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum will host a lecture by author and historian Nancy Schumm about pioneer farming on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7:30 p.m. Learn about early farming, as practiced by the first generation of settlers in the area. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the limited engagement exhibition, “Farms: Seeds of our Community,” which will run through Jan. 25.
