Fox Lake man charged with burglary in Elgin, Bartlett
A Fox Lake man faces charges related to residential burglaries in Elgin and Bartlett, officials said.
Jonathon R. Buczak, 27, of the 0-100 block of Saint Thomas Colony, was located by Bartlett police and turned over to Elgin police Tuesday night, Elgin Police Cmdr. Ana Lalley said in a news release.
Buczak was charged with one felony count of residential burglary by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s office, Lalley said.
He is expected to appear in bond court Thursday.
Elgin police officers responded to a report of a possible residential burglary in progress just after 10:30 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of Red Tail Ridge, according to a news release.
The homeowner told officers that personal electronic devices had been taken from the residence. The offender fled the scene before police arrived. Information obtained from witnesses lead to Buczak’s arrest, police said.
Buczak also has been implicated in at least one other residential burglary in Bartlett, and charges were authorized by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office, Elgin police said.
