Submitted by Fox Valley Newcomers & Neighbors Club

Learn some fire safety tips at the January kickoff luncheon and program of the Fox Valley Newcomers & Neighbors club Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Isacco’s Kitchen, a family owned Italian restaurant located at 210 Cedar St., in St. Charles.

This month’s program will be offered by Jeff Tarro, a firefighter/paramedic with the St. Charles Fire Department. He will share a variety of adult fire safety tips on Neighborhood Watch, fire-safety basics, cooking with caution and more.

Join them at 11:30 a.m. for a meet-and-greet, followed by a noon luncheon and program, and 50/50 raffle that will benefit this year’s charity, Mutual Ground in Aurora.

The menu will feature a winter salad of mixed greens with apple, roasted butternut squash, shaved fennel, radishes, shaved Parmesan, herb vinaigrette and your choice of entrees, a house-made tortellini filled with ricotta and spinach or a grilled chicken with marinara sauce, followed by a chocolate cake dessert. Coffee and tea (hot or iced) are included. There will be a cash bar for soft drinks or alcoholic beverages.

Price for lunch is $25, which includes tax and gratuity. To reserve your seat and select your menu entree, call Janet at (630) 587-5585.

Send your check, and menu selection to: Janet Ballweg, 1510 Keim Trail, St. Charles, IL. 60174 by Wednesday, Jan. 8. Note, after the deadline there will be no refunds. If you are bringing a guest, include her name on the “memo” area on your check, and note your menu choice. Your check is your reservation and is nonrefundable.
