Guerin College Preparatory High School (Guerin Prep) will host its entrance exam from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11.

The exam is the first step toward admission for the class of 2018.

Guerin Prep (www.guerinprep.org), a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school situated on a 23-acre campus in River Grove on Chicago's Northwest side, serves approximately 450 students from Chicago and surrounding suburbs. With a commitment to strong academics, the arts and athletics, Guerin Prep students experience the kind of well-rounded, faith-based education that teaches them to be critical thinkers, engaged leaders and caring individuals.

“We encourage students considering their high school options to take Guerin's entrance exam,” said Steve Baldwin, President of Guerin Prep. “Students are drawn to Guerin because they know they will get the personal attention, support and resources they need to be their best. Our students have the opportunity to explore their diverse interests and excel in many ways - and our graduates have gone on to more than 100 universities and colleges including Yale, Notre Dame, and Michigan State,” he added.

Prospective students are also invited to attend Gator Junior High Night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Friday evening before the entrance exam, where they will watch the Guerin Prep Gators boys' basketball team take on Montini Catholic High School and enjoy complimentary pizza. They will also have the opportunity to meet Guerin students, athletes and coaches. To participate in Gator Junior High Night on Friday, January 10, students should report to the Holy Cross Gymnasium, located at the southern end of the campus, where they will be greeted by an ambassador of the school.

The January 11 entrance exam will take place at Guerin Prep, 8001 W. Belmont Avenue, River Grove, IL. Prospective students should arrive at 7:45 a.m. for registration and are invited to stay for pizza following the exam. There will also be an informational session for parents at 8:00 a.m. Students who take the entrance exam at Guerin may qualify for scholarships and financial aid.
