Carol Streams' Loma Systems named One of Chicago's 101 Best & Brightest Companies

Loma Systems, the world's leading engineering company specializing in metal detection, checkweighing and x-ray systems, has been named one of Chicago's ‘101 Best and Brightest Companies' by the NABR. This competition honors companies that practice innovative strategies and recognize employees as their greatest asset.

Loma promotes a collaborative work environment coupled with charitable events to attract and retain the best and the brightest.

“We take an employee-first approach to ensure our team members are engaged. Our goal is to create a better experience for our employees, customers and business partners,” said Craig Scachitti, Business Unit Manager.

At Loma you can join one of their United Way events or enjoy one of the summer grilling lunches they host every month as a way to relax and mingle.

“I'm proud to work for one of Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Companies,” said David Pack, Key Accounts Manager. “It's the little things like holiday candy baskets that create a great work environment."

An independent firm evaluates each company's nomination based on key measures in various categories. The categories include: compensation, benefits and employee solutions, employee enrichment, engagement and retention, employee education and development, recruitment, selection and orientation, employee achievement and recognition, communication and shared vision, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, community initiatives and strategic company performance.

"Profitability and stability are essential for businesses in today's economic climate. Companies that recognize that their employees are the key to their success achieve staying power. Our 2013 winners create their human resource standards to ensure employee satisfaction and they set standards for every business to aspire toward," said Jennifer Kluge, NABR president.

Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Companies is sponsored by ABC 7 Chicago, Corp! Magazine, IIT Center for Research and Service, and The Management Association of Illinois.

The winning 101 companies also vie for 11 elite awards, one granted for each category. The elite award winners will be announced by Judy Hsu from ABC 7 Chicago News and Pat Cassidy from WBBM-AM News Radio will emcee the awards ceremony.
