Dr. Mientus to head medical society

Dr. Thomas F. Mientus was elected president of the Lake County Medical Society at the group’s annual meeting Dec. 3, at the Deer Path Inn, Lake Forest. He officially takes office when his term begins Jan. 1. Dr. Mientus is a specialist in gastrointestinal pathology. He is triple board certified and works as a GI pathologist and laboratory medical director/developer with the Illinois Gastroenterology Group in Libertyville. He lives in Green Oaks. Dr. Mientus has been a member of LCMS since 1995. He has served on the executive committee since beginning his term as treasurer in 2010.
