Fruendt nets career-high 37

Batavia senior Liza Fruendt continued her red-hot season Monday night at the Oswego Hoops for Troops Tournament with a career-high 37 points in a 76-53 win over Proviso East.

Batavia (9-1) is now 2-0 in the tournament and plays defending state champion Marian Catholic on Wednesday. Marian also is 2-0 in the tournament after beating Naperville Central 60-25 on Monday.

Hannah Frazier added 15 points and Erin Bayram scored 13.

In other tournament action, Rosary lost to Rich South 53-47. The Royals fell to 5-6 overall and 0-2 in the tournament.
