International Book Club to explore literary award winning authors

After exploring world cultures through a diversity of transnational short stories, through works exploring various religions, and through writings which ponder the meaning of life and love, this year the International Book Club at the Prospect Heights Public Library will be looking at masterpieces of literature produced by different cultures.

Each of our authors for this year is a recipient of the most prestigious literary awards, such as the Pulitzer Prize, the Booker Prize, or the Nobel Prize.

We will start in January 27th with American Pastoral by Philip Roth (Pulitzer Price 1977), followed by Julian Barnes' The Sense of Ending (Man Booker Prize 2011) and Yan Mo's Red Sorghum (Nobel Prize 2012), just to mention a few of our titles.

Throughout the upcoming year we can promise great experiences with great literature. Please join us on the fourth Monday of every month at 7:30 PM. Prospect Heights Public Library, 12 N. Elm St.
