Violating Constitution is violating oath
Our legislators in Illinois take a sworn oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and that of the State of Illinois. So, if the “pension” bill is found to be unconstitutional, will all those voting yes be removed from their seat in the legislature?
After all, they will have violated their oath of office by not upholding the State of Illinois Constitution, as they swore they would.
