Learn to bridge generation gap in job interviews

Submitted by Crossroads Career Network Ministry

Crossroads Career Network Ministry invites you to a free workshop, “So I’m Old, Now What? Age and the Job Interview,” from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the library at the Eola Community Center, 555 S. Eola Road, Room 111, in Aurora.

There are four generations in the U.S. workforce and they each communicate differently. A Baby Boomer’s work ethic is different from Generation X. Learn what the differences are in this interactive workshop and develop new communication strategies that will help you bridge the generation gap when interviewing with younger decision-makers.

Speaker Richard Oberbruner has led interactive job search workshops for the Career Stimulus program at Harper College, the Community Career Center in Naperville, with the majority of his career at WorkNet DuPage in Lisle. He combines his teaching background with Second City Theater improv techniques to make each presentation a one-of-a-kind event.

No prior registration is required for this free skills training and networking meeting.
