Enjoy the charm and beauty of Geneva at Christmas at the city’s annual Christmas House Tour.
Five homes, each with their own distinctive character, will open for self-guided tours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Each home will shine in holiday adornments presented by local decorators and designers.
The Home of the Patterson Family: Nestled in a pleasant neighborhood is this 1917 Wilson Brothers Craftsman home. Much remodeling by these fourth owners themselves has brought the home back to its initial splendor. Festively decorated by Celebration Design of Gibby’s Wine Den and Plandscape Inc.
The Home of the Quiles Family: Built in 1868 by John Bowman Atwater, a well-known actor/inventor and namesake for a Geneva restaurant, this Victorian features a three-story octagonal wing, ornate Italianate woodwork around the eaves and a large wraparound porch complete with a gazebo. Festively decorated by CIRCA, and Heinz Brothers Greenhouse Garden Center.
The Home of Patti and Steve Rambo: Built in 1959, this lovely brick ranch has retained the original layout while adding an urban vibe during renovation. Festively decorated by Anastazia-Treasures for the Home and Moonlight Landscaping.
The Troendly Home: Spectacular light and views grace this beautiful custom home, built by George Havlicek in 1999. The cedar and Wisconsin blue stone English Cape Cod lies on the greens of Mill Creek Golf Course. Festively decorated by The Little Traveler.
The Watanabe Barickman Home: Settled amid towering trees, this 1912 Historic National Register home was built by well-known local artisan Oscar Wilson for his family of eight. Festively decorated by The Mossy Twig and Plandscape Inc.
Tickets include a holiday tea and are available for $30. Proceeds are used to decorate Geneva for the holiday season. Purchase at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, 8 S.
